Learning to drive doesn't have to feel overwhelming
Learning to drive is one of the biggest steps towards independence, and it's normal to feel a little nervous before you begin. The best approach is to break it down: get your provisional licence, learn the rules of the road, build your skills in regular lessons, and prepare properly for both parts of the test.
I'm Helen Powell, an Approved Driving Instructor based in Wallasey, teaching learners across the Wirral and Liverpool. I've put together these guides to answer the questions I'm asked most, so you know what to expect at every stage.
